The Bowie County Republican Women’s Club was organized in 1998.
On May 4, 1998 the Bowie County Republican Women’s Club met at the Maud Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, elected the following officers by unanimous vote and on May 21, 1998 they were installed by Vivian Hairmann, TFRW Director Dist 1.

On July 23, 1998 our Bylaws were approved by the Texas and National Federations of Republican Women.
Since that time, the BCRWC has:
Actively supported and contributed financially to all Bowie County Republican Candidates and to the Republican Party Hdqs in Texarkana;
Worked in Local to National campaigns distributing literature, bumper stickers, erecting signs;
Decorated and participated in the Annual 4-States Parade with floats which received ribbon and monetary awards for the Bowie County Republican Party;
Worked tirelessly at Bowie County Republican Hdqs in Texarkana, Texas adding phone numbers to voting lists, manning phone banks, and distributing signs, making chair backs and other tasks as requested;
Manned a satellite Republican Hdqs in New Boston during the 2004 election cycle distributing candidate political signs/other campaign materials, raising funds for the Bowie County Republican Party;
Attended Local Republican Party meetings, District Meetings, Candidate Forums, and Legislative Day in Austin, Texas and supported other TFRW club meetings and activities in Northeast Texas.
Club members have:
Served as Precinct Chairmen, Election Presiding Judges/ Clerks, and Officers and
Committee Chairmen/members of all Bowie County Republican SD 1 Conventions;
Served as Delegates to all Precinct Conventions, SD 1 Bowie County Republican Party Conventions, TFRW State Conventions, and Texas State Republican Party Conventions; and
Received the Biennial Local Club Achievement Award from the National Federation of Republican Women and also the Biennial John G. Tower Award for Excellence from the Texas Federation of Republican Women;
Supported the candidacy of two BCRWC members in the 2006 election cycle: Mary Cox for Bowie County Clerk and Helen Tuck for Bowie County Treasurer, who received approximately 45% of the popular vote in a county that has not had a Republican elected to a countywide office since Reconstruction.
The BCRWC supports local community activities through:
Outreach/Literacy Program, i.e., donating books to the New Boston Public Library; Patron of the Friends of the Library;
Memberships in the New Boston and DeKalb Chambers of Commerce;
BCRWC booths at the annual New Boston C of C Banquet, New Boston Pioneer Days, DeKalb Octoberfest and monthly New Boston Trades Days; and participated in Republican booths at Texarkana Quadrangle Festival and 4-States Fair.
Member constructed floats in the Annual 4-States Fair Parade, the New Boston Pioneer Days Parade winning the 2005 and 2006 Best of Theme Award, the Octoberfest Parade, the New Boston Christmas Parade and the DeKalb Christmas parade winning the 2006 First Place Blue Ribbon.
